Rohan Kumar

Rohan founded Aerayan on a single conviction: the most important problems in science and technology are still unsolved. He sets the group's research direction and builds the divisions that take them on.

“We are not building for the next product cycle. We are building for the next century. Everything we do is designed to compound — in knowledge, in capability, and in impact.”

Journey — Rohan

The path so far.

  1. 2026Founded Aerayan

Established Aerayan as a deep technology company at the intersection of AI, aerospace, quantum computing, and life sciences. Began building Luminary AI, the company's foundation model platform.

  2. 2023AI Research & Systems

Led development of multi-modal AI systems and large-scale inference infrastructure. Pioneered techniques in reinforcement learning and autonomous reasoning systems for scientific applications.

  3. 2022Deep Tech Engineering

Worked at the frontier of AI and scientific computing, building systems that process petabyte-scale genomic datasets and high-performance simulation workloads.

  4. 2020Early Career

Started in software engineering with a focus on distributed systems and machine learning infrastructure. Became obsessed with applying computing to science's hardest problems.

Principles

How I think about building.

.01

Think in decades.

Short-term optimization is the enemy of profound technology. Every system we build is designed to compound in value over 10, 20, 50 years.

.02

Science first, always.

Engineering without science is craft. We root every technical decision in first principles and empirical validation — not trends or convention.

.03

Reliability is non-negotiable.

The systems that matter most — spacecraft, genomic platforms, AI models — cannot fail. We build with a six-sigma mentality from day one.

.04

The impossible is just unsolved.

The problems we work on don't have known solutions. That's the point. Genuine technological progress requires attacking what no one else will.

Journey — Ditin

The path so far.

  1. 2026Co-Founded Aerayan

Joined Aerayan as Co-Founder and Lead Developer, bringing design sensibility and full-stack engineering to the team. Focused on building products that feel as good as they perform.

  2. 2025Full Stack Developer, Bytework

Building multiple static and dynamic websites for various clients. Creating dynamic dashboards with full frontend and backend development.

  3. 2025Next.js Developer, Dreamlegal

Maintained the company website, contributing to both frontend and backend development. Built new features and APIs to enhance user interface and experience.

  4. 2022Started the Journey

Began as a self-taught developer — building projects and learning by doing. Discovered a deep passion for UI/UX and making technology feel beautiful and effortless.

Principles

How I think about design.

.01

Design is how it works.

Beautiful products aren't just visually appealing — they guide users naturally. Every decision I make is about reducing friction and making the right action obvious.

.02

Self-taught means self-reliant.

Learning everything from scratch taught me to question assumptions, read deeply, and figure things out. There's no shortcut that replaces genuine understanding.

.03

Build things that ship.

A perfect design that never launches is worthless. I balance craft with pragmatism — push quality as far as the constraint allows, then get it in front of people.

.04

Teach what you learn.

The best way to solidify knowledge is to share it. Writing, tutorials, and open source are how I give back to the community that taught me everything.
